This is what happens when someone partially parks in and blocks an accessible parking space access aisle.  The wheelchair user, Rachelle Chapman, was unable to independently get onto her ramp and into her vehicle because the driver of the white Pilot partially parked in an access aisle.  Someone eventually helped Chapman get onto the ramp so she could get into her vehicle. The person who helped Chapman took this picture, at Chapman’s request, so that she could share the picture and “let the world know so that this stops happening and people in wheelchairs can have as much accessibility as possible”

Accessible parking spaces for cars have at least a 60-inch-wide access aisle located adjacent to the designated parking space. The access aisle is just. wide enough to permit a person using a wheelchair to enter or exit the car.
