Many of us start the week feeling worried and anxious about what’s coming up in the days ahead. It’s easy to get caught up with these thoughts and feelings and become stressed out even before our day has started. Thoughts are like clouds and can vanish just as clouds naturally disperse into space. We cannot push the clouds away, but we can allow the clouds of thought to gradually dissolve until finally all the clouds have vanished. We do this by turning our mind inward, by recognizing that any stormy thoughts, emotions, and feelings we have are like clouds and then just letting them pass by. The more we practice letting the clouds pass, the more peace and happiness automatically and naturally occurs.
