Attached is a flyer about the State Rehabilitation Council’s Public Forum in Moorhead, Minnesota on June 22.  The State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) is the citizen council that advises and partners with the Minnesota’s Vocational Rehabilitation program.  The SRC is sponsoring this forum to examine Northwest Minnesota’s labor market data, economic trends, and career pathways – all with an eye on how such tools and information can help transition aged youth and others with disabilities find and keep living wage jobs.

From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. there will be time for people to share their comments about the employment of people with disabilities in NW Minnesota.  The SRC would love to hear your comments, particularly during this public comment portion of the forum.  We are very interested in hearing from current and former VR participants, employers, VR staff, and service providers about what types of supports are helpful or are needed to help a person with a disability seek or maintain employment.

If you cannot attend in person, you can participate via phone conference call-in capacity throughout the forum.  To access the call, dial 1-888-742-5095 and use the access code 359-252-0140.  When listening in, please put your phone on mute.  Do not put your phone on hold.  If you wish to submit comments and questions in writing, please send them toSRCPublicForum.DEED@state.mn.us .  This mailbox will be monitored throughout the day.

If you wish to give comment for the public record, but don’t enjoy public speaking, you can send email comment to SRCPublicForum.DEED@state.mn.us and, if we have sufficient time, they will be read at the forum.
