Freedom Resource Center doesn’t take being the premier leader of disability rights in the region lightly. We offer five core services; each one providing individuals with the resources and skills to achieve their goals. Advocacy can help people with disabilities access benefits and programs in the community that increase the opportunity to live independently. Our Peer Mentoring program provides access to over a hundred mentors throughout our service area in ND and MN. Their experience in breaking down barriers is invaluable to others going through similar situations. Individuals in nursing homes and other institutional settings can utilize our Transition Services to move out of the nursing home, back in the community as independently as possible. Finding the right programs that meet your needs and empower you to continue living your best life is the goal of our Information and Referral service. We offer a variety of trainings in Independent Living Skills, both one-on-one and in class-type settings that include budgeting, meal planning, preparing for the permit, and organization. All our services are free and open to people of all ages with any disability. With offices in Jamestown, Lisbon, Wahpeton, and Fargo, North Dakota; as well as Fergus Falls, MN – We are here for you.
